Percussion

Why Join Percussion?

Percussion is the "Heartbeat" of the ensemble. Imagine listening to your favorite band and your favorite song without any drums or special effects, it just wouldn't sound the same. Percussion sets the mood of the music being played and can be expressed in many different ways all across the world. In the percussion section at Grove City Christian, there is a drive for perfection and excellence in everything we do, on and off the field. In marching band, our percussion ensemble is a highly competitive, hard-working, rewarding environment that really feeds off of working together. This environment teaches students about teamwork, discipline, and being rewarded for the work they put in.

She has also marched cymbals, vibraphone, and marimba with Central Crossing High School's WGI finalist Indoor Percussion Ensemble. She is very excited to be working with Grove City Christian for her fourth year!

If I don't already play a percussion instrument, can I join?
